You Will Become More Flexible

Ever wished you could touch your toes? WITHOUT bending your knees? 😉 Or maybe you'd like to do the splits? We can help with that!

Having a good baseline of flexibility allows you to move your body freely and easily, which is a must in any sport! It also helps you to avoid nasty pulled muscles and similar injuries by giving you a more complete range of motion to work with.

In many sports, losing a bit of your natural flexibility is common - building muscle mass through repetitive movement will often do that! If your favourite sport has been tightening your muscles, aerial fitness is a great way to add a little bit of extra flexibility training into your workout regime!

If running on a treadmill isn't your jam, then you can sneak in your cardio days the fun way at Altitude - through dance!

Our aerial dance classes make cardio fun - you won't even notice that it's secretly cardio training as you dance your wee heart out! There are a few different styles of dance classes available so you can choose whatever style you like best - from graceful and elegant to a risqué and cheeky 😉

Your Coordination Will Improve

Did you know that coordination isn't something you're born with? It's a learnable skill 🤯 Coordination is about training your mind-body connection, which aerial fitness can help you to develop in a few different ways.

From your very first classes, you will start learning how to activate your muscles in new ways - possibly even using muscles that you haven't used much before! This will challenge your brain as well as your body, and eventually, you'll start building the connections between your mind and body that'll allow you to effortlessly change the way you're using your muscles on a whim.

There's also your spacial awareness, which DEFINITELY gets challenged during an aerial workout! You'll be amazed at how quickly your spacial awareness improves when it's just your body and the apparatus in the air.
